The Bluffs

The Bluffs are one of our favorite spots. They are truly majestic and it's not just the bluffs but also the beach below.

Two entry ways provide two very different expierences, One standing about 150 feet above the beach the view over the lookout to the ocean is quite something to behold.

The other you'll find the stairs that drop straight to the beach below. I've never counted, but I've been told there are 140 or so steps. From them you'll see a consistent stream of people emerging. Usually panting, maybe doubled over but certainly with a broad smile. Now it's your turn to take the trip.

Mudslide War

The official drink of Block Island is the MUDSLIDE. It is disputed as to who concocts the best.

Marykate’s favorite located at “The Oar”. Grab one of there famous mudslides and lounge on the lawn overlooking the harbor, watch the sunset or you can grab a drink and play some lawn games.
Kacey’s favorite is housed at the Champlin's resort & marina. There is even a little roof top, or more appropriately titled 'deck top' bar. They throw a banana in their mudslide and the delicious concoction churns and spurns all day.
